what is an Emmaus Walk event?
Welcome to Southern Ohio Emmaus
At Southern Ohio Emmaus, we emphasize the importance of community and faith in personal development. Our Walk to Emmaus events welcome individuals aged 18 and older to embark on a transformative journey. We organize four retreats each year, alternating between men’s and women’s groups in spring and fall. Each retreat spans 72 hours, held from Thursday to Sunday, at the serene Camp ECHO in Thurman, Ohio. Connect with others and experience the enriching atmosphere of our walks.
Walk attendees must have a sponsor in order to attend. This is to help with your experience and personal growth. A sponsor can usually be found within your church, but if you need assistance in finding a sponsor, please contact us and we will help find one local to you.
